On Dutch TV with Klaas Kan Alles!

I recently had the chance to be part of something really special: a TV recording for the Dutch show Klaas Kan Alles (Klaas Can Do It). It’s a popular family program in the Netherlands where host Klaas van Kruistum takes on all sorts of unusual and challenging tasks — from firefighting to flying a jet — to find out: can Klaas do it? In this episode, he took on the challenge of becoming a balloon artist for a day — and I had the honor of teaching him the tricks of the trade.

Together with four amazing fellow balloon artists, we spent two full days creating giant balloon figures. What did we make? Well, brace yourself:

🦣 A life-sized balloon elephant — a wearable costume for two people!

🦒 A cheerful giraffe that I personally took for a walk across the fairground.

🦜 Two colorful, tropical birds.

🚙 And Klaas? He had to build his very own jeep… entirely out of balloons!

We brought all these creations to the Roermond fair, where we walked around among the crowd. It was such a fun experience! People were amazed by the oversized balloon art and the camera crew following us around. Everywhere we went, we were met with smiles, surprise, and lots of photos. And that’s exactly why I love what I do — balloon art brings joy and a bit of magic into the everyday.

Did Klaas succeed in becoming a real balloon artist? You’ll find out this fall when the episode airs on Dutch television! I’ll be sure to share the broadcast date as soon as it’s announced.
